Good morning, everyone. I hope all you amazing mamas had a wonderful Mother's Day!
Saturday was a busy day for us around here. Michael and dad worked on a truck, since a certain young man gets his permit this week. Michael also had to serve Mass on Saturday night. After Mass, Michael and Therese joined a few friends for a spring formal. Everyone look stunning in their dresses and suits. It's a shame it was chilly and rainy here.  Can you believe I got NO pictures! Oh well, I guess there is always next year.
On Sunday we stayed home and relaxed a bit. The day was rainy and dreary so it was a perfect day to curl up on the couch and read a good book. We had a low key day. Pizza for dinner and chocolate brownies for desert made by the kids. My sweet hubby got me my perfume for Mother's Day.

I had just run out, so it was perfect timing. I discovered this scent last year and fell in love with it immediately.  He also ordered me flowers, but somehow selected the wrong sate for delivery. So I will be getting flowers later on this week. It will be a nice surprise.
Things have been crazy around here, so I finally getting a chance to join Sandra again for her weekly Happy Homemaker Monday again!

O.K., enough about our weekend. Let's get on with our Happy Homemaker Monday!

~The Weather~
It's yucky here! The temperatures have dropped and rain has settled in. Thankfully, it gets warmer around Wednesday.

It's yucky here. The temperatures have dropped and rain has settled in. Thankfully, it gets warmer around Wednesday! I am getting tired of all this rain.

Friday~ Scattered Showers, 69*
Saturday~ Partly Cloudy, 72*

~On My To Do List~
Laundry- as usual
Cleaning the house- the pets have been losing their winter fur so the floors are always covered with hair
Change the sheets and wash the blankets
Wash the rugs- they need washed and I need a sunny day to hang them out on the line

~Our Menu for the Week~
Monday~ Grilled Chicken , Roasted Potatoes, and Grilled Asparagus
Tuesday~ Spaghetti and Meatballs
Wednesday~
Thursday~ Dinner out at our local Mexican restaurant (Thank you dinner for Michael and I for teaching first grade religious education at our local church. Michael was my aid this year) Daddy and Therese will probably have a daddy/daughter dinner out
Friday~ I'm not sure. The boys have plans, so it'll just be Therese and I

~What I'm Working On~
Next year's school plans & lessons- I'm all done except for history
Clearing old books the kids no longer need
Going through out grown clothes
Straightening up the basement pantry

~What's on TV~
I started watching a new series which is pretty big news for me. I'm not much of a TV watcher. On Tuesdays, I record The Village and then watch it once everyone else is in bed. I curl up the couch with a cup of tea and my sweet kitties. We sit back and watch the show. Therese and I have been watching re-runs of Friends. It brings back memories of my friends and I piling into a dorm room sitting on a twin size bed and watching it together. The good old days!

~What I'm Looking Forward To~
The end of school and summer!
I can't wait to relax and unwind with the kids. We have a beach trip planned with cousins and can't wait to go. Michael has 3 other trips schedules this summer: a shooting camp, work camp with our church, and a week away for his shooting championships. Therese starts swim soon and is extremely excited. The school year has flown by and we all are looking forward to summer break!
Sunshine, sitting by the pool, and flip flops...what's not to like?

~ Inspirational Quote for the Week~
“My mother gave me life and never asked for anything in return.
That is her secret you know, always giving without any expectations.
She is as constant as the sunrise, the moon, the stars, and I count on her.
She helps me find my way through the years and makes me laugh while doing it.
There are some things only a mother can do.”

Till Next Time,
