Review~ The Download Club from My Teaching Library

Disclaimer~ I received a FREE copy of this product through the HOMESCHOOL REVIEW CREW in exchange for my honest review. I was not required to write a positive review nor was I compensated in any other way.

Hello friends!
It's been too long. I know it's been awhile since I've had a product to review. In fact, it feels like forever ago. Today, I'm thrilled to share with you the Download Club membership from My Teaching Library. For this review, we received an annual subscription to My Teaching Library. What an amazing site this is. I can't wait to share all about it.

What is My Teaching Library?

My Teaching Library is an online site that offers homeschooling families and teachers quality educational resources. Back in 2010, a small site was created to help homeschooling families come together and support one another. The site offered affordable yet high quality resources.  Over time, the site grew. Lynda Ackert, a 20-year homeschooling veteran, knew she needed to collect these valuable resources. By doing this, the Download Club was created. Over the past 10 years, My Teaching Library has grown and expanded to meet the needs of homeschooling families and teachers to what you see today.

What is the Download Club?

The Download Club is a subscription membership to My Teaching Library. The company offers 2 different memberships for families to choose from.

~Annual Subscription~

$45.00 a year
Unlimited Downloads/Resources for a Year
Single Family/Teacher Use

~Lifetime Subscription~

$225.00
Unlimited Downloads/Resources for a Lifetime
Single Family/Teacher Use

A Co-op and school license can also be purchased by contacting the company directly.

Subscribing to a membership gives the family the right to download and use all the resources for every student in their family. For the annual membership this right would last for the year that they the family is subscribed. For the lifetime membership, the subscription can be used for members within the family forever.

What Did We Think of the Download Club from My Teaching Library?

I was amazed with all the site has to offer. It's an amazing resource for families with children of all ages. Since my kids are both in high school, this was the section that I reviewed the most. Overall the high school levels, 9th-12th, had lesson to offer parents. I felt that families with students in the younger grades had way more resources available to them. The high school level offered the following topics: arts, electives, language arts, math, science, and social studies.

I found all the sections had a wide range of topics. For example, in the language arts topic tab, students will find resources to cover American literature, famous authors, important works of literature, poetry, reading comprehension, vocabulary, and spelling. I discovered quite a few resources to use with the kids in their American literature course and United States history course.

I was thrilled with the biology resources they were available. They'll be an important resource for Therese as she studies human anatomy this year. I found diagrams, anatomy posters and worksheets, videos to use with lessons, flash cards and notebooking pages.

Other science topics I saw were Chemistry, Earth science, Marine science, Natural science, Physical science, and Physics.
The biology section had the most resources.

Overall, I think My Teaching Library is a wonderful resource for parents and teachers, especially if they have students in grades K-grade. I think families with younger students will find a variety of resources they can use. As a family with only high school students, I found the resources a little lacking for this age range. Even with the limited resources offered for the high school level, I would still recommend this site to homeschooling families. The site offers a variety of resources for the annual fee of $45.

Good morning everyone!

It's hard to believe another school year is here already. This will be my 13th year homeschooling my son and daughter. It's crazy how fast time flies!

We're in the final stretch now. My son has one more year here at home, while my daughter has just 2 years. It's a completely different world for us, in more ways than one.😕

Most sports have been canceled and we've opted not to do any co-ops this year, since so many here are online or virtual. I honestly felt we could use the money in better ways, so we are doing all our classes here at the house. I'm going to enjoy the last few years I have.

I can't believe both my babies are in their final years of high school.

So what are the kids going to be doing this year?
Let's find out....

Good morning, friends. It's a chilly one here! The last two nights, our temps have gotten down to the mid 30's. I've had to pull out my warm pj's already.

So how was all of your all's weekend? I hope you had a good one.
Ours was a busy one. We had a few things around the house we had to take care of. The kids had youth group again on Sunday. Nothing to exciting happened, but it definitely went by to quickly.

Can y'all believe it's already the end of September? I swear the days are flying by. I guess being busy causes the time to pass by quickly.

Let's get on with Happy Homemaker Monday. Once again, I'm joining in with Sandra over at Diary of a Stay at Home. Grab a mug full of coffee, head on over, and say hello!

❀❀~The Weather~❀❀

The temps have dropped! I've pulled out my comfy sweaters and Ugg boots to keep warm. We've had quite a few days in the 50's and a few nights in the mid 30's. We had to turn on the heat for a bit to knock the chill off. I guess the boys need to get busy chopping wood for the wood stove this winter.

Thankfully the temps are warming up a little this week.

Monday~ Sunny, 63*
Tuesday~ Sunny, 70*
Wednesday~ Sunny, 79*
Thursday~ Cloudy, 77*
Friday~ Cloudy, 72*
Saturday~ Cloudy, 72*
Sunday~ Rain, 73*

❀❀~How I'm feeling this morning~❀❀

Not to bad this morning. I got a little more sleep, but I'm still up most of the night because of my shoulder. I took a sleep aid last night. It worked so-so. I woke up a little stuffy this morning. I'm not sure if it's because of allergies or the fact that we ran the heat last night. It could be a combo I guess.

❀❀~What I'm doing right now~❀❀

I'm writing up this post, drinking some green tea while sitting on the couch. It's a little cold in the house, so I'm covered up with a cozy blanket.

Bird Watching

❀❀~ What's on my mind~❀❀

Way too much. I have a ton of projects I need to finish this week with the help of the kids! We need to finish cleaning out, organizing the basement, and we need to start working on the bedroom down there. I did to finish collecting the items to donate since they come on Wednesday.
I still need to get the photos back up on the walls after painting them. I have books to sell and donate. I still need to get the dining room back in order and clean out the school room. It just never ends.

❀❀~What they kids are up to~❀❀

They are currently working on their school work. They're working on a few lessons from last week and their lessons for this week. So far things are going well.
Mr. Fluffy Pants has decided to help out during their lessons.

❀❀~What's for breakfast~❀❀

I had a Mocha Latte and then a chocolate protein shake. Since messing up my arm, I feel like I've gained 15 pounds. I've gained a few extra pounds, but not quite that much. Since I'm still limited in my mobility, I figured I needed to watch what I was eating.

❀❀~My current reading pile~❀❀

I currently reading Women on the Edge by Samantha M. Bailey

.

.
❀❀~What the Kids are Reading~❀❀

Therese is reading The Outsiders by S.E. Hinton for fun. For her monthly book club, she's reading The Princess Diaries by Meg Cabot. Each month a different girl in the club chooses a book. Last month, they read True Grit. It's a great way for the girls to read different genres of books.

Michael is reading 13 Hours: The Inside Account of What Really Happened in Benghazi and a few books about EMT training. He's hoping to take the actual course next year once he's 18.

❀❀~Music I'm listening to~❀❀

My amazon prime music list. U2, Adele, Lewis Capaldi, and Kenney Chesney.

❀❀~What I'm working on~❀❀

Sadly, not much. My shoulder has really limited me on what I can do. If I do too much, I pay for it the next day....even if I don't use my arm.

I'm trying to blog a little more. I;ve4 kind of let it slip the past few months. I do have 2 reviews coming up. I'm planning a gave away to host on my blog for my new business adventure. So if you're curious about toxin free products, stay tuned for a great giveaway!

❀❀~What new for me~❀❀

Physical therapy started last week. I was only scheduled once, but the therapist scheduled me the next day because I was in such bad shape. She's currently trying to work on the pain and then we can work on getting movement back. She said after 2 week, if things don't improve then she'll get the doctor to schedule a MRI. She's already recommended 2 surgeons if i need surgery. So we'll see. I have therapy scheduled 2 days this week.

❀❀~Looking around the house~❀❀

Ugh... the house needs a thorough deep cleaning, but sadly I don't see that happening anytime soon.
We need to decorate for fall. Therese said she'll help with that. I need to dig out my winter clothes. These chilly days have been wanting more of my comfy, warm clothes.

❀❀~This weeks to do list~❀❀

Same old list week after week....
Laundry and more laundry
Head to the library
Collect items being picked up for donation
Take trash to the dump
Clean the bathrooms
Clean the chicken coop (didn't get to this last week)
Wash the dog
Clean the kitchen

❀~What's for dinner this week~❀❀

Monday~ Chicken, potatoes, and salad
Tuesday~ Tacos and Spanish rice
Wednesday~ Spaghetti and meatballs
Thursday~ ???
Friday~ ??
Saturday~ ??
Sunday~ ??

I need to sit down and plan the next 2 weeks meals after I finish grading the kids work.

❀❀~ From the camera~❀❀

❀❀~What I'm praying for~❀❀

My family
Our nation during this difficult time
Our President, Vice-President, and leaders
Police officers throughout the country
Our children as they go back to school in the new "not-normal" way
The cities being destroyed by violent protesters
The cities and families affected by the fires
The children that have been rescued from sex-trafficking and abuse and all the innocent children still being held captive
My arm and that physical therapy works and I won't need surgery
For our country to find God again

❀❀~Inspirational thought for the week~❀❀

Wishing y'all a wonderful week.
Stay happy, healthy, and safe!

Good morning, dear friends! I can't believe that we are already in the second full week of September. It just doesn't seem possible. We've had another crazy few weeks. We delayed our start date for school until today. We had a major event occur in our lives that will change a few things around here drastically. We've been busy cleaning and remodeling to make everything work. I'll share more when the time is right. Just so there is no confusion, we are not expecting!

My arm/shoulder seems to be getting worse. Two hours of sleep is not cutting it. Thankfully physical therapy starts this week. If y'all could pray for a quick recovery and for the changes happening in our life, I would greatly appreciate it.

Enough about my weekly dose of chaos, let's get on with Happy Homemaker Monday. Once again, I'm joining in with Sandra over at Diary of a Stay at Home. Grab a mug full of coffee, head on over, and say hello!

❀❀~The Weather~❀❀

Our temps have dropped! We even have one night this week that the night time temp will get down to 39! I'm not ready for that yet.

Monday~ Sunny, 75*
Tuesday~Sunny, 70*
Wednesday~ Sunny, 75*
Thursday~ Cloudy w/ rain, 75*
Friday~Cloudy, 64*
Saturday~ Sunny, 61*
Sunday~ Sunny, 63*

❀❀~How I'm feeling this morning~❀❀

Tired and cranky! I didn't get any real sleep last night. I went to bed at 11 and was back up at 12:15 because of my arm. The pain was pretty bad last night. I went back and forth between the couch and bed. I just couldn't get comfortable. I finally gave up at 5 and just got up.

❀❀~What I'm doing right now~❀❀

I'm writing up this post, drinking some water. and sitting here with a heating pad wrapped around my arm. The pain meds the doctor gave me do nothing. I have the kid's lessons pulled up and am ready for their questions. Hopefully their first day of school goes well for all of us.

❀❀~ What's on my mind~❀❀

All the projects we need to finish this week! We need to finish cleaning out and organizing the basement. We then have some construction to do down there. We're adding a bathroom and bedroom. It's a lot of work. It's especially hard since I only have one good arm.

❀❀~What they kids are up to~❀❀

They are currently working on their lessons. They've been helping with the house chores and I feel so blessed to have them. They both are hard working and caring kids. I couldn't ask for better kids.

❀❀~What's for breakfast~❀❀

Three cups of coffee (I'm sure I'll have another in a bit), a gluten free English muffin with butter, and some strawberries. It's been my go to breakfast for the past few weeks.

❀❀~My current reading pile~❀❀

I still reading Sweet Salt Air by Barbara Delinsky. I just haven't had much time to read and when I do I have a hard time concentrating on the words. I'm sure it's due back to the library soon, so I need to finish it.

.

❀❀~Music I'm listening to~❀❀

My amazon prime music list. Nothing too exciting.

❀❀~What I'm working on~❀❀

I'm trying to keep the house clean, stay on top of the laundry, and help out with all the projects going on.
I'm sad to say, I have no crafts I'm working on at the moment. I just can't find the time.

❀❀~What new for me~❀❀

Nothing too new, except our projects. I'm still working on growing my new businesses. I've set up two Facebook pages for them, Monique's Beauty Corner and Monique's Pure Peace of Mind. I
m slowly growing and I'm still trying to figure out how to balance the kid's schooling, the projects, and my new work. It would help greatly if we had better internet.

I've put off my sewing and my Etsy shop for now.  It's hard to sew with one arm.

❀❀~Looking around the house~❀❀

Things are still crazy around here and my house looks like a bomb blew up. Rooms are still out of order, furniture is out of place, and I have boxes stacked up.  It's starting to drive me crazy. I'm sure my lack of sleep isn't helping my grouchiness.

I wish I could sleep like this chubby, little man.

❀❀~This weeks to do list~❀❀

The list seems the same week after week....
Laundry- the never-ending story
Head to the library
Collect items being picked up for donation
Take trash to the dump
Clean the bathrooms
Clean the chicken coop

❀~What's for dinner this week~❀❀

Monday~ Chicken and apple sausage with potatoes and broccoli
Tuesday~ Tacos and Spanish rice
Wednesday~ Chicken and rice
Thursday~ Roasted chicken, mashed potatoes, and peas
Friday~ ??
Saturday~ ??
Sunday~ ??

❀❀~ From the camera~❀❀

❀❀~What I'm praying for~❀❀
