Good morning, dear friends! Happy New Year! I disappeared for a bit in December. The holidays are always a crazy time for us. I hope you all had a very, Merry Christmas and a Happy New Year! We hosted Christmas dinner, so we have been busy. After Christmas, Michael came down with a cold/flu. He decided to share it with us. We have been sick since right after Christmas. Not fun. It seems like a normal cold/flu. Of course, it could be the dreaded C word, but we have no clue. We've just stayed home and tried to get better. Micael is all good now. The rest of us still have a few days to go. It took him about a week to get over it and be fever-free.

Let's get on with Happy Homemaker Monday.
Be sure to drop in for a visit with Sandra, our beautiful hostess over at Diary of a Stay at Home Mom!

The Weather~

Winter has hit today! We are having our first snowstorm of the year! Maddie girl was so excited to head out into the snow. She loves the snow. Unfortunately her snow buddy, Therese,  still has a fever so she has no one to play with her. They're calling for snow again on Thursday.

Monday~Snow, 31*/18*
Tuesday~ Mostly Sunny, 36*/25*
Wednesday~ Cloudy, 44*/27*
Thursday~ Snow, 39*/23*
Friday~ Partly Cloudy, 29*/18*
Saturday~ Partly Cloudy, 33*/21*
Sunday~ Rain and Snow, 45*/26*

Luckily, I added some bedding to the coop yesterday for the girls. They were not happy when I let them out this morning. Poor Periwinkle flew to me and screamed about how unhappy she was with the snow. I picked her up and placed her under the porch so she could stay nice and dry. This is the first snowstorm for the "faerie" girls.

What's for Breakfast~

Coffee. I now have my sense of taste back, but now have no sense of smell. It's rather weird. I tend not to eat much when I'm sick. Nothing ever tastes right.

Looking Around the House~

Ugh....it's a disaster. I hate being sick. Nothing gets done. I have done a few things. Lyseoled the house down, cleaned the chicken coop, a load of laundry, dishes, and changed the sheets. It's hard to do a lot when you get dizzy doing things

On the To-Do List This Week~ the usual stuff (If I start to feel better)

Laundry
Clean the house
Finish organizing the sewing room
Meal plan for the next 2 weeks
Catch up on some blog posts

Praying For~

Our Country and our leaders
The world and all the craziness that is going on in it right now
My friends and family, especially my dad who is currently sick
Cousins who are currently fighting Covid, one is on a ventilator and could really use some prayers
Our priest who was taken to the hospital for low oxygen
Everyone that is sick ...there a so many out there that seem to be fighting something

Merry Christmas and Happy New Year!

Till Next Time,
Monique
