Good Morning, y'all! It's been a rainy weekend here. The temps have been unseasonably warm. I'm not complaining though.  On Saturday, Therese and I attended the 1st birthday of a sweet little girl. That first year always flies by. She enjoyed her cake! On Sunday, we had church and Sunday school. My dear sweet hubby continued his work on the master bathroom. We are almost ready to paint.

I had written 2 other posts in January, but I forgot to publish them so ooops! I guess better late than never. I just deleted them and started this one.

Enough about all of that, let's start with Happy Homemaker Monday with our beautiful hostess Sandra from Diary of a Stay-at-Home Mom. Be sure to stop in and say hey there.

As I Look Out My Window~
It's gray, overcast, and lightly raining. A few birds are flying about and a few squirrels are scampering through the leaves. The cats are having fun watching them. They love to steal pieces of cat food I have outside for the stray cat we feed.  The pileated woodpeckers have been out quite a bit. We always see them more in the winter months. We have two sets of mates that live near us.

Right Now I Am ~
I'm typing up this post. I'm drinking a cup of hot tea. The washing machine and dishwasher are both going. The house is fairly quiet. Hubby is at work and both kids are at school.  The dogs have been out, fed, and are now back to sleep. I love how they wake me up super early but then go back to sleep as soon as they have been fed. The chickens have been fed, eggs collected, and they are now roaming the backyard looking for some yummy bugs.

Thinking and Pondering~
Honestly, all the stuff I need to get done. Clean the house (drywall dust is everywhere), wash the dogs, do laundry, and help finish the bathroom. We started redoing our master bathroom a few weeks ago. We're changing everything, so it has been a work in progress. We are ready for paint and flooring. Once those 2 things are done, we won't have too much more to do.

I also need to get back into exercising regularly. I'm giving up sugar for Lent so that should help me with feeling better. My plan is to eat more whole foods.

How am I Feeling~
Not too bad. We've all been sick off and on since before Christmas. I just realized that no one has been coughing for the last 2 weeks. I should go knock on some wood before I jinx us all.

It was a rough week last week. We had to make the difficult decision of helping Misty, Mama Kitty, crossover to the rainbow bridge. She's had tumors (cancer) for a few years. Up until last week, she has been fine. She was eating, playing, grooming herself, and just being her typical diva. Then all of a sudden, she stopped all those things., She lost weight quickly and slept all the time. She was the first kitty we had adopted. She was actually a birthday present for Therese when she was little. It's quiet around here without her meowing. She was quite vocal. She will be missed.

What's for Breakfast~
Eggs and two pieces of toast.
