Good morning everyone!
We had another busy weekend here. Michael headed off to the National Shooting Championships. The boy has been busy, busy, busy this summer.

First, he went to Colorado to the Olympic Shooting Center for camp,

home for a few days, then the beach, home a few days,

off too work camp with our church where he and his team worked on repairs for an elderly lady. They put a new roof on her house, replaced siding, built a new porch, painted, and garden/yard maintenance. He came home for a few days and now is gone again. We are hoping he improves his times from last year.

Therese had another swim meet this Saturday. She did great.

Her last swim meet didn't go so well since she had a cold. A stuffy nose and clogged ears makes swimming a little difficult. She has one more week to get a qualifying time for championships. So if you could say a quick prayer she gets one that would be great. She wants to get to championships so badly!

Yesterday, Therese and I relaxed in the pool and ate dinner with my sister and her family. We had a wonderful, relaxing day.

All right, enough about our weekend. Let's get on with Happy Homemaker Monday!

~Movies on the Play List~

~Books I'm Reading~

I'm currently reading another Hope Harbor novel from Irene Hannon, titled Driftwood Bay. It's #5 in the series.

~What I'm Creating~

I bought 5 yards of a beautiful blue floral print at the fabric store yesterday. My plan is too make a skirt with it. I need to decide what type of style I want and get to work. I've been cleaning up my sewing area. I really want to get back into designing and sewing clothes. I also need to finish the 2 quilts I started. Now that the kids are older, I'm finding I have more time to myself.

~My To-Do List~

Laundry..it never ends
School lesson plans
List some more books to sell.
Lesson plans for my 1st grade religious education class I teach. We got knew books this year, so I'm starting over from scratch.

~Looking Around the House~

The bathrooms and bedrooms need cleaned. The house needs vacuumed and mopped. I need to finish reorganizing the pantry. I need to take a few items to the thrift store to donate. I also need to finish organizing the school room. We have about a month and half left before we had back to school.

~From the Camera~

Another photo of this handsome man. He's adjusting well. He loves to be held and will sit on your lap.

His fur looks and feels outstanding. His neck wound is all healed. He's even gained a few pounds. Hiss bones don't stick out as much as they did.
our only complaint is he talks not stop. I've never know a more vocal cat. They only time he's not trilling is when he's sleeping. Trilling is a sign of happiness, so I guess he's just letting us know he loves his new home.

~Inspirational Quote for the Week~

Wising you all a wonderful week!

Till Next Time,
Monique

  1. Enjoyed reading your post, Monique! Makes me miss the days when my own children were young and we were in a flurry of activity...church, homeschool, travel, ministry, etc. What a busy, but wonderful time to be in the midst of! Blessings over your sweet family! <3

  3. Best of luck and lots of prayers for both the kids and their events. I agree laundry never ends. I swear I did four loads over the weekend and I still have more to do.

Glad to see the cat is adjusting so well to his new home and here's hoping that his singing it to the world slows done soon.
