Good Morning, dear friends! I logged in to write up this post and realized that I haven't joined in on Happy Homemaker Monday since May. How have the days gotten away from me so much. The days and weeks are flying by. I can't believe that it's almost the end of June already. It's been a crazy month here.

The kids finished up school, we completed the work on my father-in-law's house, and the state shooting match was held for this year,. Michael will receive quite a few medals. A few first, a few second place, and a few third place. He medaled in all the events he shot in. Therese just missed third place for her event, but her team did earn a medal.. Now we have a few weeks of practice and then off to Nationals!
My niece graduated this last week. We had her graduation, her party, and hosted the grandparents.
Work camp for the kids started yesterday. They'll be gone all week. They'll be building two decks, making a concrete patio, and a few other repairs for local families in need. Today is their only hot day. It'll get up to 91 today, but the rest of the week will be cool, which will be nice.

I hope y'all had a wonderful weekend.

So enough about my crazy past few weeks, let's get in with Happy Homemaker Monday with Sandra! Be sure to stop in and visit Diary of a Stay at Home Mom!

The weather~

It'll be hot one today, but a rain storm comes in tomorrow and brings cooler weather.

Monday~ Sunny, 91*
Tuesday~ Rain, 74*
Wednesday~ Sunny, 74*
Thursday~ Sunny, 79*
Friday~ Partly Cloudy, 82*
Saturday~ Mostly Cloudy, 83*
Sunday~ Isolated Thunderstorms, 85*

The cicadas are finally disappearing. The last two weeks, the were everywhere and so loud. They would dive bomb you. YUCKY!!! You hated going outside. We no longer hear them and I've only seen one or two flying about. I can now get back to hanging the clothes on line and weeding the flower beds.

On my reading pile~

When I Was You by Amber Garza ( I still haven't finished this one. It got buried under a pile of school books)

What's on the menu for the week~

I honestly have no clue. It'll just be the hubby and I this week for dinner. The kids will eat at the church each night.

What am I sewing, crafting, or crocheting~

I still have the same two projects to get started on. The last few weeks have been crazy so I'm hoping to get to them this week.....
I printed out a few quilting patterns for placemats, so I thought I give them a try.
I have some Christmas tree skirts that I need to start on and I need to make a few throw pillows to match my new comforter.

I do need to hem Therese's dress. Her shoes finally arrived, so now we know how much we need to hem.

  1. I loved that graphic, its so true! Time goes by so fast when you're into adulthood! I LOVE the new scentsy warmer! Scentsy is amazing! I'm also in the process of selling old homeschool books to purchase the new ones for next year, so much work to do! A homeschool Mom's job is never finished! I hope you have a great week!
