Happy Homemaker Monday~ August 3, 2015

I know it's been awhile since I did a Happy Homemaker post, so I thought I would get back into them. I hope y'all had a great weekend. We had a busy one with gardens, Mass, and Therese singing in the children's choir. The girls did an amazing job. They spent 3 days learning traditional hymns (a few in Latin) and sounded beautiful. I love hearing traditional hymns in Mass.

Outside~
It's beautiful outside. The sun is shining brightly and there are big, white fluffy clouds filling the sky. A perfect day for hanging out laundry. Today is the last hot day for awhile. Starting tomorrow the temps will drop down to the mid to low 80's.

What I am reading~
Orchard House by Tara Austin Weaver
A charming story about how an over grown garden brings a family closer together.

On our TV~
I don't really watch any specific TV shows. Therese has started watching Growing Up Bates since they took 19 Kids and Counting off. Michael watches anything to do with nature.

What's for dinner~
Tonight leftovers...pot roast with veggies

Menu for the week~
Still need to work on this
Monday~ Leftovers
Tuesday~ Baked Ziti
Wednesday~
Thursday~

On my to do list~
Laundry
Finish organizing the school room....school starts next Monday
Ironing..yuck!

Sewing~
Therese's new curtains for her room. We switched her room to a more grown-up theme, No more butterflies and flowers. My baby girl is growing up.
Trying out a quilted Halloween table runner pattern

Favorite Photo~

Mama Kitty sitting in her window basket as we get back to school.

  1. I love the cat photo. Gray cats are the best kind, I think ;) Hope you have a wonderful week!

  2. School starts next week for us too, I can't believe this summer is at an end. Speaking of curtains, I need some and I don't want to buy because they're so expensive so I'm trying to go through my fabric stash and hope I can find something I can use. Have a wonderful week :)

  3. It's hard to see little ones grow up, but updated bedrooms help ease the transition.

Enjoy these last days of your summer break. Our week has gone well considering two are at music camp each morning this week.
