Religion~
John 6:51
This week CCM switches to learning a Bible verse. Instead of just memorizing the verse, I use the verse for handwriting practice. When the kids were younger, I went online and created a handwriting worksheet for them. I used WorksheetWorks.com, but I did find another site while looking around on my computer, HandWritingWorksheets.com.
Now that they are older, I just have them copy the bible verse into their religion notebooks. Less printing and easier to keep track of.
A fun craft to do that can go along with this Bible verse is this Monstrance painting project from Catholic Inspired. My kids actually did this craft, but I forgot to take pictures of it.
Latin~

We are still working our way through the Gloria. If you'd like to see how we learn our Latin Hymns and prayers please go to the CCM tab at the top. You'll find a link there.

Worksheet # 2
Worksheet # 3
Fill-in-the-Blank Worksheet
Over the years the kids have learned about photosynthesis. They know that carbon dioxide, light, & water and needed in order for plants to make food.
Working on a fun science project to help learn about Photosynthesis is always a great idea to the things. Here are a few to check out.
Math~
Multiples of 11
Eleven rhymes with Heaven....so a cute craft idea would have the kids create a stairway to Heaven by using the multiples. Create a stairway on paper out of Popsicle sticks and then on each step have them write a multiple of 11. They can even add pictures of saints along the way!
Geography~
Cote d'Ivoire
Cote d'Ivoire Flag
Ghana

Togo

Burkina Faso

The kids labeled the map with the stickers, and then colored the maps and flags over the 2 weeks. When the maps are completed they add them to their geography notebook.
Great Words~
O Captain! My Captain! by Walt Whitman
We read a few books about Walt Whitman's poetry.
The kids then started reading the poem and working on memorizing it. we'll be working on it for the next few weeks.
Till Next Time,
Monique
