I'd be here all day listing all the great videos they have to offer. Videos for elementary school age students, middle school students , high school students, and parents.

Two other great resources the site offers are the Focused Learning Centers and the Literacy Centers. Both these sections offer additional resources to help students learn.

The Literacy Center will help students learn to read. This is fantastic for new readers and readers that may be struggling just a little. It a wonderful resources for parents that have no clue where to begin. Teaching a child to read can be quite challenging.

The Focused Learning Center offers help in a wide variety of subjects. Whether you need help with a particular academic subject, high school planning, college planning, or career advice. This section has just what a student ll need. It will direct students and parents to courses, lessons, and articles to help with their journey.

Years ago, I planned out my children's lessons. I collected various resources, books, movies, etc. I then would spend months planning their lessons for the entire year. Things have a changed a little for us now. Both my kiddos are in high school. Yes, high school. I'd be lying if I said that when we entered this new world, I wasn't scared. It was down right nerve wracking. I was so scared I'd mess and they would miss something. Something really important. I loved having access to the high school planning guides on the SchoolhouseTeachers.com site. These resources made this transition less scary and I honestly felt I understood what I needed to do.

I love the resources available and the selection of courses the kids can take is amazing.

This year, Michael is currently using the Spanish 1 course for high school. Everything is planned out for us. The very first thing I did was print out the Lesson Plans. These pages contain a checklist for the entire course and a detailed checklist for each day of each week. Michael knows exactly what he is required to do on each day. Since we use an online planner, I just sat down, plugged in the information, changed the lessons a little since he has co-op on Mondays. All I had to do really was type in information. No lesson planning or trying to figure out how to break up the lessons. It was great.

I did print out the lessons and worksheets ahead of time. I placed them in a binder for Michael. I printed out the answer keys and have them filed in a binder just for me.

At the beginning of each lesson, Michael logs in and downloads the lesson. The lessons are easy to find and download quickly. From there, he just clicks on the links he needs for each day. He listens to the audio for correct pronunciation and works on his worksheets. The course is well laid out and extremely easy for Michael to follow.

I love how the site offers videos and links to proper instruction. For a mama, who never took Spanish this was a perfect solution to our foreign language needs. I just grade his worksheets, quizzes, and tests. We had started out using another Spanish program, but it quickly became an issue when this mama couldn't help! Even the instructions were in Spanish. Michael and I were thrilled when I remembered to go and check out what the SchoolhouseTeachers.com site had to offer. I love how he can work independently. This is preparing him for when he goes off to college!
