Good Morning and Happy October! Y'all, I can't believe it's already October. Summer is gone and fall has definitely arrived here. We went from hot weather straight to coll temps. It's so nice to be able to open the windows and get some fresh air into the house.

I hope you all had a wonderful weekend. We had a chilly, wet one thanks to hurricane Ian. It poured the whole weekend, I was worried we'd lose power but it only flickered a few times. We were lucky we didn't lose any trees since the ground was so wet.

Let's get on with Happy Homemaker Monday with our beautiful hostess Sandra from Diary of a Stay at Home Mom. Be sure to stop in and say hey there.

The Weather~

After a very rainy weekend, this week looks pretty good. We have a few more rain showers and then it's mostly sunny skies. We do have some crazy temps changes this week. Welcome to fall in Virginia.

Monday~ Showers, 52*
Tuesday~ Showers. 49*
Wedenesday~ Partly Cloudy, 64*
Thursday~ Partly Cloudy, 72*
Friday~ Mostly Sunny, 69*
Saturday~ Mostly Sunny, 55*
Sunday~ Sunny, 59*

As I Look Out My Window~

The sun is shining. It's so nice to see some sun shining after not sun the entire weekend. There are some clouds forming and rain is supposed to come in later, but I'll take a few hours if sunshine. The birds are chirping and signing. They sound happy to have the rain over for a bit. The neighborhood deer are out and about eating between rainstorms. Mudd puddles are everywhere...ugh!

Right Now I Am ~

It's about 11:15 and I'm a little late getting started. I'm currently typing up this post. I'm waiting for the washer to be done so that I can switch out the clothes. I've showered and dressed. I have a few minutes before I have to leave for a dentist's appointment.

Thinking and Pondering~

God's love and building a stronger relationship with Him. I'm currently doing two Bible study groups that go along with this and it has me thinking a lot. I'm enjoying it and I'm looking forward to seeing where I am at the end.

How am I Feeling~

Pretty good. It's been a weird week/weekend. I pulled a muscle in my back on Thursday. I was refilling the chicken's water and lifted the bucket wrong. Getting old sucks at times. It's better now. I cut my big toe on my left foot and have a blister on my right heel. Shoes are a little uncomfortable right now. And I burnt myself last night cooking dinner. It's been a klutzy week for me.

What's for Breakfast~

I had a cup of coffee and some gluten-free cinnamon toast.

Looking Around the House~

The house needs to be vacuumed and mopped. I'll probably vaccum tomorrow but hold off and wait to mop until Friday. With all the rain, mopping now will be useless. I need to clear out the clutter and get things put back in their place.

On the To-Do List This Week~

Dentist Appointment
Bible study
Clean the kitchen
Clean the bathrooms
Sand the dining room chairs to get them ready for painting and staining

  2. Gorgeous photo! Oh, how I wish some of that rain would've come this way. Glad you stayed safe and didn't lose any power or trees. Need to switch out my clothes as well though we're back to summer temps for the early part of the week here. Hope you have a wonderful week!
