Good Morning dear friends! Another week has come and gone. The weeks are flying by. Therese and I had a relaxing weekend at home, while the boys went on their yearly fishing trip on Saturday. They had a great time and caught a few fish which they had for dinner on Sunday. Therese and I ran a few errands, but didn't stay out long since our state is still under restrictions. We did find 3 books she needed for her book club. A local used book store saved me from having to order them online. I even found 2 books for school next year and I did by myself a new book. I saw plenty of titles I wanted to buy!

Hope you all had a great weekend. So let's get on with Happy Homemaker Monday with Sandra from Diary of a Stay at Home Mom!

Another weird week of weather here. Last week was beautiful! This week we have cooler temps again. I enjoy the warmer temps, but I also like being able to open the windows and get fresh air in the house so I guess it's not too bad. This has been the coolest summer.

❀❀~How I'm feeling this morning~❀❀

Not too bad. My migraine is gone for now. I get a migraine anytime I have to wear those masks. It's driving me crazy. Allergies are pretty good since I've been taking my allergy meds. My stomach is feeling fine right now. I started a healthy diet trying to get my gut back in line and a bonus side effect is I should lose some weight along the way. Right now, I drinking super healthy smoothies. They taste yummy and have all the vitamins and nutrients I need. Fresh fruit and veggies are the key. As the days go on, I start to add more healthy meals to the plan.

❀❀~ What's on my mind~❀❀

I can't even describe what is going on in my head right now. Everything seems so crazy. If someone would have told me last year what 2020 was going to be like, I would never have believed them. Things are so scary and stressful right now. The uncertainty is maddening at times. I worry for my kids and how they're being affected. I can't remember anything like this from my childhood.

❀❀~What they kids are up to~❀❀

School's out. We finished up a week early. This week is a not busy at all.

Last week, we had dentist appointments (no cavities!!). Shooting practice started back up for the kids. They did get to hang out with friends. This was the first time they'd seen each other since March. They went swimming at a friends house. We still followed by the regulations set by the state. On Friday, we visited my sister and her kids. It was weird finally seeing them after so many months.

We still are not back at church yet. Mass is being said, but we have to wear a mask and I just don't think I can wear one for an hour. Migraines and my claustrophobia are not good combinations for that. Youth group has started back up. The kids are "supposed" to stay 6 feet apart.I think they all had a good time hanging out.

❀❀~What's for breakfast~❀❀

I had coffee and a Apple Spice Smoothie. It tasted just like an apple pie.

❀❀~My current reading pile~❀❀

I'm currently reading 3 books.

Family Affairs by Pamela G. Hobbs for a book review.

I found a Nora Roberts book at the thrift store that I don't think I've read. At least it doesn't seem familiar so far. Morrigan's Cross is the title. It's an older book.

The health book I'm reading is The Body Reset Diet: Power Your Metabolism, Blast Fat, and Shed Pound in Just 15 Days by Harley Pasternak.

❀❀~TV shows/movies I'm watching~❀❀

Therese and I finished up The Gilmore Girls. We're now back to Friends. We have 3 seasons left...at least I think that's what we have left. Now we need a new series to binge watch. If you have any suggestions, please leave a comment. I'd love to hear them.

❀❀~Music I'm listening to~❀❀

Just the radio this week, as I drove the kids to work, friend's houses, and the dentist.

❀❀~What I'm working on~❀❀

Lesson plans and I really want to sew a few things. Hopefully I'll find a some time to work on that.

❀❀~Looking around the house~❀❀

Ugh the bathrooms need cleaned! I love a clean bathroom, but I hate cleaning them.

❀❀~This weeks to do list~❀❀

❀❀~ From the camera~❀❀

Our garden is done! I want to add a wind chime to the side.

❀❀~What I'm praying for~❀❀

Our nation and leaders. Praying we can heal and come together
Our first responders
All those affected by the virus
All those affected by the riots
A family at our parish who lost their son to a tragic accident
My family, friends, and all of you

  1. Your garden in gorgeous! A wind chime would be a lovely touch. I'm a bit intrigued by your health book, my clothes are a bit snug after all this time at home eating too many snacks. Hope you have a fantastic week!

  2. That garden is gorgeous! It reminds me of the ones I have saved on my Pinterest boards. Nice photos, I am sorry you are feeling so unsettled. I can only imagine what it must be like to live in the US right now, terrifying! Hopefully your migraine will stay away. TV shows? Not much on here, they are all rather old, but I did just start "All Rise", seems to be okay so far. Have a great week!

  3. I love your garden - so pretty! The Apple Pie smoothie sounds delicious - would love a recipe. I have missed secondhand book shopping. It must have been wonderful to go. I don't know if I could have restrained myself from buying everything, it has been so long! Have a lovely week.

  4. I'm glad your migraine has left you. The masks are awful, I have bad allergies and they make it so much worse for me, that and the fact that I can't breathe in the masks lol

Hope you have a blessed week!
