A Snowy Day Art Project

At co-op this week, I did a fun finger painting project with the preschool and kindergarten class. We painted a snow scene. I thought it was a great idea with all the snow we were blessed with last week.

At the beginning of class, we read the story A Snowy Day by Ezra jack Keats.

After listening to the story, we got down to business.

You will need...
blue construction paper
white paint (washable is best for this age range)
paint brushes for those children who don't want to get their hands dirty
red and orange construction paper cut out into children in snow suits

We added snow with our fingers or paint brushes.

Then we glued on the two friends.

A magical winter scene filled with friendship.

    1. Thank you. My kids loved this story when they were little. I was shocked by the amount of kids who had not heard it. I was thrilled I was able to share a classic with them.
