Good Morning! I have been working on finishing up the posts of when we did Classically Catholic Memory. We finished a few years ago and I apologize for not getting these posted sooner.
So here is what we did for week 14!
Religion~
John 10:14-15
We looked up the Bible verse and read it aloud. The kids than worked on their cursive handwriting worksheet.
I did find these crafts and coloring pages to go along with the Bible verse. They would be great for younger children.

Latin~ Tantum Ergo
This is the second week for this hymn. We are still working hard on learning the Tantum Ergo.
History~
This week, we are learning about the Roaring Twenties, the Stock Market Crash 1929, the Great Depression (1930's), and Roosevelt's New Deal. The kids continued working on their lap book and the Time Travelers U.S. History Study The Industrial Revolution through the Great Depression.
Science~ Muscles
This week the kids learned about three kids of muscles..Skeletal, Smooth, and Cardiac.
Here are a few lesson we used to go along with our study. Our main book we read during this week was DK The Human Body Book. It has everything you need. It's a quick read, but filled with lots of information.

The kids also worked through the Human Anatomy Coloring Book from Dover during this time. The book has fantastic, detailed pictures for older kids.
Math~
1 inch=2.54 cm
1 mile= 1.6 kilometers
We measured a few things around the house with our rulers to learn more about inches and centimeters. We didn't do much with miles/kilometers since the kids math books have some great lesson on it.
Geography~
We are still in Africa!

A fun book to use with the kids to learn more about Africa is Africa for Kids: Exploring a Vibrant Continent. It's filled with crafts and activities kids will love doing!
Great Words~
My Captain! My Captain!
The kids are in the home stretch for My Captain! My Captain! by Walt Whitman. They have this week and next week to finish up this poem. They have all the other parts of the poem memorized, so they are good to go. I think they are ready to be done with this one and move on to the next poem.
