Good afternoon everyone! I hope you all had a fantastic weekend. Our weekend was filled with errands, church, religious education class, and the kid's youth group meeting.
Busy, Busy, Busy!
It's hard to believe we are here at Monday again. I can't believe that January is almost over.
Welcome to another edition of Happy Homemaker Monday.
I'm joining Sandra from Diary of a Stay at Home Mom.
Stop in and say hello.
So let's see what we have going on this week.
What's for breakfast....
Coffee and a peanut butter larabar
Weather....
Today was the warmest day we're going to have this week. Tomorrow we get rain, sleet, and snow. This is being followed by frigid temps. We getting into the negative numbers here. Doesn't that sound fun? I'd rather be at he beach. I think I'm going to put in a Kenny Chesney CD and dream of blue water and sunshine.
What I'm Reading....
The Walking Land by Callie Bates. I just started this book and I can't tell if I'm going to like it or not. It's a little different style than I normally read.
On TV....
Nothing I really don't watch any shows. I ahevn't found one I can't stand to miss. I have been playing my son's Spryo game he got for Christmas. I remember playing the original game on a PlayStation years ago. I was put on bed rest when I was pregnant for him. I played that game and watched The Lord of the Rings.

Last week, we tried Sandra's Portuguese Chicken and Rice recipe. It was a HUGE hit. Everyone loved it. The chicken and rice has so much flavor. It was incredible. Definitely give it a try.
What I'm working on...
Catching up on the kid's scrapbooks
Our 2018 photo album...I love looking through photo albums. It reminds me of all the times i spent looking through old photo albums with my grandma.
What I'm praying for....
My dad. His sister passed away this weekend. He now has lost two of his sisters. I'm praying for the soul of Aunt, her husband as he adjusts to a life without his wife (they've been married over 50 years), and my aunt's children.
I'm also praying for all the babies that have been aborted. New York's new law is travesty. I fear where we are heading as a society.
"We must not be surprised when we hear of murders, of killings, of war, of hatred.
If a mother can kill her own child, what is left but for us to kill each other."
~Mother Teresa
Till Next Time,
Monique
