1 tablespoon sugar
1 tablespoon salt
4 cups flour
1 egg (optional)
Course Salt

Preheat oven to 425 degrees.
Dissolve the yeast in the water. Add the sugar and salt to yeast mixture.
Mix flour into the yeast mixture. Knead dough until it is smooth.

Take dough, roll it and form a snake.Take ends of dough, twist, and press down.

Brush egg wash over pretzels and sprinkle with salt.

Bake pretzels for 15 minutes or until slightly golden.

  1. I love homemade pretzels. Thanks for sharing. Pinned.
In and Out of the Kitchen Link Up Party, hope you'll return next week.

  2. These look like so much fun!
Pinning it to save recipe for the future!.

  3. It has been a very long time since I made homemade pretzels. My friend and I used to make them when our older kids were younger. She is the one that had a recipe though, and I haven't been able to find a decent recipe. I can't wait to try these with the girls.

I wanted to let you know that this week's Kids and a Mom in the Kitchen linky is live. I would love for you to stop by and share.
    Have a great day! Blessings.

  4. Look how beautifully you shaped these! :-) My kids were just asking me if we could make homemade pretzels. Now I can tell them yes! :-) Thanks so much for linking up with "Try a New Recipe Tuesday." I can't wait to see what you will share this week. :-) :-) God bless, Lisa

  5. Hi! I’m new follower of your blog and would like to invite you to join me at my weekly Clever Chicks Blog Hop:

I hope you can make it!
